Diasporadical

I’ve been skimming through today’s dailies hoping to see at least one Op-Ed with that title up there. Sadly, none of the country’s opinion writers had the guts to beat you black and blue with the truth. But that’s what blogs are for. So I’ll spell it out for you loud and clear. YOU WILL DIE.

And no, I won’t kill you. Not even Bonny’s prophecies will. See while all of you went HAM when Bonny was making death wishes on vultures, your relatives, brothers and sisters, had formed a sizeable crowd right outside Assanand’s trying to catch a glimpse of .., I don’t know what.

Many businesses are looking for new options as far as high speed Internet connectivity that also ensures data security. The kind of network your business needs greatly depends on what your business is, what kind of information you will be dealing with, how many people will be using the network, and what kind of security you need. Fortunately, most network providers can work with your business to create a solution to your needs, whether it’s faster speeds, cloud services, or greater security. The following is a list of a few of the different kinds of networks your company can use:

Private networking—This is a way to connect employees who may be geographically separated across a shared network that is secure and relatively inexpensive. This network is often connected via SSL which ensures a high level of encryption without sacrificing speed. This means you will get a high level of business network security while still maintaining low costs of operations and network efficiency.

MPLS Site to Site VPN solution—A Multi-Protocol Label Switching VPN(Virtual Private Networks) service allows all of your business applications to live under one roof, figuratively speaking. This wide area networking (WAN) technology paired with site to site virtual private network (VPN) allow different networks to interconnect without needing leased lines in between. The result is reduced cost and greater security. It also means teams of workers in different regions can connect safely and efficiently.

Business DSL—Business DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is good for small businesses because it is affordable and can provide you with download speeds up to 20 Mbps. If your company uses the Internet heavily for downloads but not necessarily for cloud-based activity this would be a good solution. Options usually include ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) and SDSL(Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line).

T1—This basic network offers speeds up to 12 Mbps and is usually scalable depending on the growth of your business. A T1 may work reasonably well for a home office or a few employees, but for an entire office a T1 would not suffice. Usually you can upgrade to a business DSL and from there utilize other network solutions as needed.

Cloud-based—Many of these networks will involve varying degrees of cloud-based technology that deliver Security as a Service (SaaS). This usually includes various combinations of firewalls, anti-virus, web filtering, and data loss prevention. As the world becomes interconnected through digital channels network security is becoming increasingly important. If you’re setting up a new business, the network you’re going to use should be one of the first overhead costs you consider. Failure to do so can eventually lead to security breaches and slow speeds, which can lead to business loss, frustrated employees and weak output.

Vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, is one of 8 B vitamins. All B vitamins help the body convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy. These B vitamins, often referred to as B complex vitamins, also help the body metabolize fats and protein. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy skin, hair, eyes, and liver. They also help the nervous system function properly.

All B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning that the body does not store them.

Vitamin B6 helps the body make several neurotransmitters, chemicals that carry signals from one nerve cell to another. It is needed for normal brain development and function, and helps the body make the hormones serotonin and norepinephrine, which influence mood, and melatonin, which helps regulate the body clock.

Along with vitamins B12 and B9 (folic acid), B6 helps control levels of homocysteine in the blood. Homocysteine is an amino acid that may be associated with heart disease. Your body needs B6 in order to absorb vitamin B12 and to make red blood cells and cells of the immune system.

It is rare to have a significant deficiency of B6, although studies indicate many people may be mildly deficient, especially children and the elderly. Certain medications can also cause low levels of B6 in the body. Symptoms of serious deficiency include muscle weakness, nervousness, irritability, depression, difficulty concentrating, and short-term memory loss.

Heart Disease

It isn’ t clear how vitamin B6 might affect heart disease. People who don’t get enough B6 in their diet have a higher risk of heart disease. And B6 plays a role in lowering levels of homocysteine in the blood. High levels of homocysteine appear to be associated with heart disease, but scientists don’ t know exactly what the relationship is. They also do not know whether lowering levels of homocysteine will reduce risk of heart disease. Until more is known, the best action is to get enough B6 through food, and to take supplements if your doctor recommends them.

Nausea and Vomiting during pregnancy (morning sickness)

Several studies, including one large double-blind, placebo-controlled study, found that a daily dose of 30 mg of B6 may help reduce morning sickness. However, other studies have found no benefit. If you are pregnant, be sure to ask your doctor before taking any supplements, including vitamin B6.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration

One large study found that women who took 500 mg of vitamin B6 daily along with 1,000 mcg of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) and 2,500 mcg of folic acid reduced their risk of developing AMD, an eye disease that can cause loss of vision.

Depression

Vitamin B 6 helps your body make serotonin, a chemical that influences mood. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, and some antidepressant medications work by raising levels of serotonin. Some researchers think that vitamin B6 might help reduce symptoms of depression, but there isn’ t any real evidence yet. More research is needed.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

Although some studies show that vitamin B6 may help improve PMS symptoms, most of these studies were poorly designed. Studies that were well designed found no benefit from B6. Until more research is done, talk with your doctor about whether using B6 is right for you. Some people who believe B6 is effective for PMS say it may take up to 3 months to see a noticeable change.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Some early studies suggested that B6 might help reduce inflammation and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. However, most of the well-designed studies have found that it is not effective.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Low levels of vitamin B6 have been associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Some studies also suggest that people with RA may need more vitamin B6 than healthy people because chronic inflammation may lower B6 levels. Eating a healthy, balanced diet and taking a multivitamin is a good idea for anyone who has a chronic illness, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Talk to your doctor before taking B6 supplements.

Tardive Dyskinesia

A few small studies have found that vitamin B6 may improve symptoms of tardive dyskinesia compared to placebo. Tardive dyskinesia is a side effect of some antipsychotic drugs that are taken for a long while, and involves involuntary movement of muscles, such as in the tongue, lips, face and jaw, arms, legs, fingers or toes.

Dietary Sources:

Good food sources of vitamin B6 include chicken, turkey, tuna, salmon, shrimp, beef liver, milk, cheese, lentils, beans, spinach, carrots, brown rice, bran, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, and whole-grain flour.

Available Forms:

Vitamin B6 can be found in multivitamins, including children’s chewable and liquid drops, B complex vitamins, or can be sold separately. It is available in a variety of forms, including tablets, softgels, and lozenges. Vitamin B6 is also sold under the names pyridoxal, pyridoxamine, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and pyridoxal-5-phosphate.

How to Take It:

People who eat a balanced diet should meet the daily requirement for vitamin B6 without taking a supplement. As with all medications and supplements, check with a health care provider before giving vitamin B6 supplements to a child.

Daily recommendations for dietary vitamin B6 are listed below.

Pediatric

  • Infants 0 – 6 months: 0.1 mg (adequate intake)
  • Infants 7 months – 1 year: 0.3 mg (adequate intake)
  • Children 1 – 3 years: 0.5 mg (RDA)
  • Children 4 – 8 years: 0.6 mg (RDA)
  • Children 9 – 13 years: 1 mg (RDA)
  • Boys 14 – 18 years: 1.3 mg (RDA)
  • Girls 14 – 18 years: 1.2 mg (RDA)

Adult

  • 19 – 50 years: 1.3 mg (RDA)
  • Men 51 years and older: 1.7 mg (RDA)
  • Women 51 years and older: 1.5 mg (RDA)
  • Pregnant women: 1.9 mg (RDA)
  • Breastfeeding women: 2.0 mg (RDA)

Larger doses have been used in some studies, but you should not take doses above 100 mg per day without a health care provider’s supervision. Large doses of B6 may cause nerve damage.

Precautions:

Because of the potential for side effects and interactions with medications, you should take dietary supplements only under the supervision of a knowledgeable health care provider.

Very high doses — 200 mg or more per day — of vitamin B6 can cause neurological disorders, such as loss of feeling in the legs and imbalance. Stopping high doses usually leads to a complete recovery within 6 months.

There have been rare reports of allergic skin reactions to high doses of vitamin B6 supplements.

Other side effects can include sensitivity to sunlight, nausea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite.

Possible Interactions:

If you are being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use vitamin B6 supplements without first talking to your health care provider.

Drugs that reduce levels of B6 in the body — If you take any of these medications, be sure to get enough B6 in your diet:

  • Cycloserine (Seromycin), used to treat tuberculosis
  • Hydralazine (Apresoline), used to treat high blood pressure
  • Isoniazid, used to treat tuberculosis
  • Penicillamine, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis
  • Theophylline (TheoDur), used to treat asthma

Antibiotics, Tetracycline — All B complex vitamins, including vitamin B6, interfere with the absorption and effectiveness of antibiotic tetracycline. You should take tetracycline at different times from vitamin B6 and other B vitamins.

Antidepressant Medications — Taking vitamin B6 supplements may improve the effectiveness of some tricyclic antidepressants such as nortriptyline (Pamelor), especially in elderly people. Other tricyclic antidepressants include amitriptyline (Elavil), desipramine (Norpramin), and imipramine (Tofranil).

On the other hand, antidepressants called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) may reduce blood levels of vitamin B6. Examples of MAOIs include phenelzine (Nardil) and tranylcypromine (Parnate).

Amiodarone (Cordarone) — This drug, used to treat an irregular heartbeat, makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Taking vitamin B6 along with this drug may increase your risk of sunburn, blistering, or a rash.

Chemotherapy drugs — Vitamin B6 may reduce certain side effects of 5-fluorouracil and doxorubicin, medications used to treat cancer. Talk to your doctor before taking any supplement if you are undergoing chemotherapy.

Erythropoietin (EPO) — Erythropoietin therapy, used to treat severe anemia, may decrease vitamin B6 levels in red blood cells.

Levodopa (L-dopa) — Vitamin B6 reduces the effectiveness of levodopa, a medication used to treat Parkinson’s disease. However, it does not seem to have the same effect on the combination of levodopa and carbidopa. Your doctor may be able to determine a dose of B6 that can safely help reduce side effects of levodopa. Taking vitamin B6 along with levodopa should be done only under your doctor’ s supervision.

Phenytoin (Dilantin) — Vitamin B6 makes phenytoin, a medication used to treat seizures, less effective.

Her Life Lessons

Public Transport. It’s cheap, social and probably less exhausting considering all you do is sit back (or stand) throughout the ride. But sad to say, that’s just about all the good I can say about it.

I however have quit a handful of reasons why I plan to stop using this means of transport in the near future. Yeah, quit employing the public vehicles and go solo. And it has nothing to do with my patriotism comrades. Even though I will have to save and buy a car (lotteries don’t work as easily as they make us believe), constantly fuel it, occasionally take it for repair, and the inevitable driving lessons and licensing. Oh and maybe a chauffeur when I’m older, wealthier and the driving thrill is over.

I know; quite a hell lot of a hustle and fuss just to run away from the so easy and effortless public…

Windows 7 has a nice little Windows Aero troubleshooting tool to find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects, and then enable and turn on Aero support (and also Aero Peek) in Windows 7. If the tool does not work to enable Aero feature in Windows 7, the trick to force enable Aero in Windows Vista may still work in Windows 7.

Follow these steps in the instruction below to force enable Windows Aero Glass Transparency effect on system with video card (graphic accelerator adapter) that does not meet the WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model ) specifications, which provides functionality required to render the desktop and applications using Desktop Window Manager, a compositing window manager running on top of Direct3D 9.0Ex, and provides device driver interfaces required by Direct3D 10 runtime used in Windows 7.

  1. Open Registry Editor (RegEdit).
  2. Navigate to the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

If the DWM registry key is not found, right click on Windows and then select New -> Key to create new branch and name it as DWM.

  3. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named UseMachineCheck, and set its value to 0.
  4. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value named Blur, and set its value to 0.
  5. In the right details pane, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value named Animations, and set its value to 0.
  6. Restart the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager in Services in Control Panel (type Services.msc in Start Search), or run the following commands in a command prompt with administrator privileges:

    net stop uxsms
    net start uxsms

  7. Attempt to enable and apply Windows Aero in Windows 7. Restart the computer if required.

The trick above also may work to enable Aero on Windows 7 and Windows Vista installed on virtual machine (VM), especially in Virtual PC 2007. VPC 2007 uses S3 as virtual display adapter, which is capable of running Windows Aero. When the guest Windows 7 or Vista OS uses software-based hardware check after hack above, it will find only S3, couple with actual Aero-capable video card, may allow Aero to run in VMs as in real physical machine.

She says it felt like,
Waking up to darkness in daylight,
Every day is a war no date nights,
And she can’t go home; her mom would send her back,
Telling her it’s okay not to fight back,
A man is a man; let him have his way,
And in time you will see it will be okay,
She trying to sleep but the thoughts won’t leave,
Now she is grounded and wondering what this could be,
So she pleads for mercy and hopes to God she can make it through the night,
Hard time still in sight; the road to the future is also bleat,
But from a distance she can hear the God speak, But she wouldn’t cry; you wouldn’t find her on the floor,
That is not what she was made for; Info,
You will fear God no lie; why child, With her head in the cloud she will touch the sky.

He reaches for his pen at a quarter past ten,
Trying to pen down a verse he wrote down last weekend,
But he can’t seems to comprehend the fact that his best friend is gone,
He’s left with only one option,
In the booth he shows no emotion,
It’s his diversion from his pain,
But the rain still pours; it’s an ordinary thing,
But he loves to sing’ sing song of memories filled with melodies,
The thickest canopies can’t hold him down from attaining his destiny,
So ready set go it’s about to blow; the stage is set stroke lights and full glow,

More money more problems,
Now he’s got a pocket full for the two girl friends,
Now he’s got like forty two; he brags to his pals about how he got it made,
Wednesdays at the Bay’ Thursday at the Cayenne,
Sipping on jean; sipping’ smoking on trees,
By the bar for the nice so many things he’d want to be,
But later that night in his bed he shades tears; he has it all but he can’t live past his fears,
Years’ his skeletons pile up; they still come up,
They go get up; they are all a part of him,
This means that they stay with him,
And there is no running away from his self esteem,

Servant-Job experience

And the cycle goes again… Typical story of A good man,
Giving God glory. He’s in church every Sunday, bible study at two.
Gives a good off friend pace, pays his tithe in church and he’s a faithful servant.
If there was a church in-appear-award he deserves it,you always finds his hands working.
But is he ready for someway..
It was a Thursday night, April first. He’s sitting there in traffic on his way home from work.
He checks his voice mail it’s his mother; She’s got multiple lumps in her breast and they hurt.
She wants him to pray that it’s not cancerous.
Broke the news to your daddy and he’s taking it the worst;Cause honestly she knew for many years,
But she didn’t want the family to panic over her,
So he prays: “God save her, Lord I know that you are able, I’m lifting up my heart to You in prayer, You’re a Healer You’re the Savior, So save her.
So he goes to call the boo to tell her all that happened and to let her know the news.
It’s looking like it’s 6: 22. She should be whipping up the dinner, got the kiddies from school.
But every time he called it goes straight to her voice mail “just leave your number,And I ‘ll get right back to you”.

He thinks nothing of it and he cruises the rest of the way to trying to clear his mind.
He pulls into the house, He’s so unfocused.
Walks right in he’s wondering “why was the front door wide open? ”
Goes to the living room, There’s two men holding guns to his family’s face: his wife, His youngest and his oldest.
They yelling “get the money, Hit the floor man! ”
He pulls the money out he kneels down and says, “Just go, man! ”
The robber kneels down to get the dough And forgets his fingers on the trigger And he accidentally blows and BANG!!
Jesus, can You even see us? I gave You all of me because I  thought You could protect us, Lead us and direct us.
But you can’t even keep us safe from violence and diseases, I’m really wanting to believe in You, But I need a reason to trust You after this one…
Because You let me down, because; You let me down
Then God says,
I am the Lord your God, There’s majesty and splendor round about Me. It’s very sad, but true, That very often your faith fails you and you doubt Me.
But I’m so sovereign and above, I give you power to believe you’re all in control,
But I’m SUPER!
And I’m set to show Myself so strong in a realm of the living that it  leaves the whole world in a stupor.
And by the way I caused the bullet shot to ricochet right back into the shooter! [Gasps]
